Estepona is blessed with
some of the most superb beaches in the whole
of the
Costs
del
Sol.
The
main ones are listed below. If you would like a quieter
place to wind down and soak up that Andalucian sun then head
out
either west or east of the town and there are idyllic tranquil
beaches to be found. If you need help in finding them then
ask one
of the locals in the bars or restaurants to
point you in the right direction and you'll soon find a tiny
gem of a beach to get away from it all away from the crowds.
La Rada Beach
Situated in the heart of Estepona and a beach you'll use
a great deal on your Estepona holiday, is the La Rada beach.
This 1.5 mile length of sand and surf is the most popular
beach in town used by tourists and town folk. The marina
is positioned at the west end of the
beach
and
is well worth visiting with its small boats and large
sea faring yachts. If you want someplace to eat then visit
the numerous beach cafes and bars which dotted along
the entire length of the beach and which serve up an
appetizing assortment of traditional and international
dishes.
El Cristo beach
If you want a smaller and more atmospheric beach then walking
west past the marina will bring you to the El Cristo beach.
This can be the ideal place to have some serious fun with
the kids and chill out at the beach bars with a long cold
beer. Your Estepona break wouldn't be complete without a
stroll down to El Cristo beach as the sun fades away in the
west and the music fills the air from the bars and you settle
down with a drink and a snack, and put the world to rights
with some good company.
Sabinillas
The sandy beach at Sabinillas is second to none on this section
of the coastline and the small fishing boats are still moored
up or dragged on the beach ready for the next nights fishing.
The beach has a new palm tree promenade which has only just
been completed. There are several first rate bars and restaurants
running along the length of the promenade.
