Estepona is located on the Southern most tip of Spain in the region of Andalucia. Located on the coast about 20km west of Marbella you can reach it by coach, car or taxi. To keep the town free from heavy coastal traffic Estepona has a bypass. The nearest airport is Malaga about 1 hours drive.


  
   
     
  If you plan to make Estepona a part of a tour of Spain then it is easily reached by motorways from the capital Madrid. Also easily reached from the main cities in the West like Gibraltar and Seville and from Granada.


  
 
     
   

   
 
  If you're arriving at Malaga and driving to our Estepona apartment or beach house or into Sabinillas then it's really quite a simple route and shouldn't take more than an hour. From Malaga head out on the Avda. de Andalucia in a westerly direction looking out for the major highroad the N340. Once on the N340 stay on this road for about 50 miles until you reach El Velerin where you take the local roads for about a mile into Estepona. Sabinillas is just a short 10 minute journey from Estepona.

If you prefer to travel by taxi from Malaga airport to Estepona then there are plenty of taxis to be had at the airport and the price for a one way journey is about 60 euros though it's best to check this with the taxi driver before you set off.

Coaches travel about every hour between Estepona, Marbella, Fuengirola and Malaga. 		 
     
 
 
 

 

On leaving Malaga airport, take the N340 to Cadiz / Algeciras (sharp right from airport).

Stay on this road for approx 50 – 60 mins without exiting. .the road by-passes all other resorts and Marbella but does go through the town of San Pedro de Alcantra.

If you want to reduce the journey time , join the toll road E15 towards Cadiz/Algeciras. There are 2 pay-points at Calahonda and near Marbella (total cost about 8 euros). This road cuts 15-20 mins from journey. Re-join the N340 just before Estepona.

On the N340, go past the first exit sign for Estepona and continue for approx 5 mins until you reach a large roundabout /junction (look for sign approx 152 km) with ESTEPONA displayed in huge white letters on roundabout.

To find the marina apartment , take the sliproad into Estepona and drive for about ¼ - ½ mile, keeping the ocean on your right. Enter the marina (also known as Puerto Deportivo) at the roundabout and take a right at the Bangkok restaurant. Continue for about 70 yards and park outside the florist and Port Woods shops (on the right).

Enter through the iron gates up the stairs and enter Bloque 6 through the locked glass doors on your right. Our apartment is first on the right No1.

To reach the beach house at Bahia Dorada , stay on the N340 for another 5mins or so. Go past Estepona Golf on the right and Costa Natura on the left. You will see Bahia Dorada on the left, but need to continue for 2 mins until you reach the roundabout with the Clive Christian shop and then double back onto other side of dual carriageway. Drive past Le Castel restaurant and enter Bahia Dorada at entrada 3 which is the last entrance.

Park under the shelters outside the Reception building. Take the path adjacent to the Reception and bear left at the steps . G19 “La Casita Playa” is just to the right, down a few steps.

To Reach Sabinillas . Go past Estepona, Past Bahia Dorada and Estepona golf course on the N340 and continue on for another 5 minutes. Go past Puerto Duquesa golf course and Marina until you reach the next round a bout and double back on yourself for about 1 mile. The entrance to Sabinillas is clearly marked. Turn into Sabinillas, go down to the sea front and turn left and drive for about 200 meters. Take a left turn past La Baca Bar and Grouchos bar and park up. The Penthouse is in the baige building in front of you (El Mero). Go through the steel entrance gates, turn right and into the first door, up to the second floor to 3F. For Punta Almero. Look for the white building ( Algeciras building ) with the Moorish styled arches over the windows opposite Grouchos bar.
